New Underdog in the Game-A kid & Minus Zero

This company, as it’s founder says it, is devoted to “building the impossible”. Minus Zero is an emerging company being built from the ground up in the field of self-driving or as they call them these days automated vehicles. We know that doesn’t surprises much at the beginning as we already have our globally loved Tesla or newly emerging lucid or many other small manufacturers but what gives this new gig a kick is that they are based in India- Home to the 2nd largest population on the planet, worst traffic and the cherry on the top “worst drivers”.

The interesting part about this company is that the founder is a college kid, at 20 years old Gagandeep Reehal has taken a step towards painting his dream with his ambition. He’s the first ever 2nd year college student from Thapar Institute of Engineering to get featured into Thapar’s notable alumni by the Google, He has had so much achievements at this age and for the record still counting that any regular 20 year old would stop reading this article out of self-complex (I know I would if was reading it*) but the purpose of this article is to inspire not to demotivate you guys. Gagandeep is AI engineer — he has been a participant, team leader and even judge at many of the national and international hackathons all over the nation and around the world, He has spoken as a key note speaker at many occasions. He has Published 2 Books at this Small age(I mean that gives goosebumps, Trust me I know), He has many more versatile skills and innumerable achievements, but all this shows is that this kind ain’t a “Regular 20 year old”.

With Minus Zero , when I asked Gagan why you doing this mate ? what’s the Reason behind it, I mean that was my first reflex, and he told me in a very non-romanticizing and practical way, “Nothing unique Just want to built something of my own and in my own country”, and all I got was fair enough. So, he makes it very clear and want to send out this message pretty clear that he isn’t another person trying to shoot in the dark, he knows what he’s doing and what he aims at.

So, I have talked a lot about the founder , lets talk about the creation in construction. Minus Zero is a company based on the idea of creating impossible technology presently focusing on automated vehicles. This company was established in May 2020 when Gagandeep Reehal came up with this idea. Currently the whole team working on this project are college kids and some graduates, They promise to get their first completely functioning and licensed vehicle in Indian markets by 2030 i.e. in the next decade and Here’s when it becomes interesting, the founder aspires that his cars would be 5 times cheaper than any other major electronic automated vehicle manufacturer in the market.
